iboats Review of BassCat Boats: Manufacturer of BassCat Bass Boats, MultiSpecies Boats, and Utility Boats.
BassCat's family tradition is that they build dreams. BassCat opened it's doors out of Ron and Jan Pierce's garage in 1971 and is now located in a larger factory in Mountain Home, Arkansas(AR). Starting BassCat boats, Ron was interested in testing out new ideas and working to develop new technologies to produce the best bass boat possible. In a market that kept changing, BassCat kept pace by seeing things come and go always moving forward. BassCat noticed that their innovations were appearing on other bass boat brands, like recessing the trolling pedals and elevating the electronics. Not liking the 1970's concept of screwing the boat together, BassCat built their new bass boats as one unit, which again, is a building concept now used by other manufacturers. As BassCat made changes to the Vee hulls others, soon copied those changes.
BassCat produced revolutionary new styles of bass boats in the 1980's and continue to upgrade, update and bring new features and technology to their boat designs. By 2010, the Jaguar bass boat came out with great innovations that will move forward in many boats to come. More ideas and surprises are poised to make their debut in the years to come. BassCat continues to create the dream of boating in bass boats, multispecies boats and utility boats. Construction techniques at BassCat are innovative and revolutionary. They use an all fiberglass hull, the floor sections are reinforced with fiberglass strips, stringers are added to provide hull strength lengthwise, and everything becomes one modular piece, including the transom. The fiberglass top with reinforcements and PVC tubing for the wiring is added, followed by the seat base supports that are glassed into the hull to strengthen the deck area. The custom wiring is made for each new boat to finish the details. BassCat takes pride in each step to produce the highest quality product possible, and they stand behind their work.
The top of the line bass boat provides everything on the "I need" list, such as extra storage, up to a 350HP option for speed, and a six foot wide cast deck, making this bass boat a fisherman's dream come true. BassCat's center console multispecies boat provides offshore fishing to many backwater flats areas as well as fresh water spots. The multispecies boats are user friendly with the roomy floorplan for ease of movement and slip resistant decks that are easy to clean with rod organizers to protect your fishing equipment. The BassCat offers utility boats for a small lake or back country fishing, constructed of all fiberglass that helps it to stay cool on summer days.
