Mari-Cha II was our first boat.It was an incredible opportunity. The opportunity to collaborate from the inception of CNB with Germán Frers, one of the world's very best naval architects of his generation. And to win the trust in 1987 of an owner who was not on his first yacht, had a clear vision of his sailing programme and sailed a great deal. Mari-Cha II has thus carried her adopted lines of a cruiser-racer to the four corners of the world, as successful in the tropics as in Patagonia.Cutter-rigged, fitted out without compromise, strikingly proportioned, she has always proved to be fast, seaworthy and elegant. Her sophisticated construction enabled us to affirm our know-how as soon as CNB was established in 1987: each section of the very dense (aviation-style) aluminum structure followed a special process route, while the interior fixtures and fittings designed by the Parisian interior designer François Catroux were produced in Nomex honeycomb.

While the deck plan, close to a flush deck and generously equipped, reflects the racer-cruiser culture of the period, the entire accommodation is also very comfortable:the central owner's stateroom aft of the saloon, two guest cabins, skipper's cabin aft next to the navigation area, large central saloon and galley forward, as are the two crew cabins. A rational and perfectly executed whole that has weathered the years. 30 years after her launch, Mari-Cha II is still sailing. For all yachting aficionados, her name evokes a saga of renown, and we are very proud that it is signed CNB.
