Bavaria Yachts is the largest boatyard in Germany, dating back to 1978, and is one of the largest world-wide manufacturers of vessels in the 32-50 range. The Bavaria 36 was designed with a couple or a single-handed sailor in mind, which also makes it very family friendly.

Avel Dro is owned by a French couple began their sailing adventure in France; the vessel was kept in the Caribbean during the pandemic. The owners resumed their adventure and visited a place before bringing her to the US. Their intended stop on the east coast was the Chesapeake, when family issues required them to return to France, and sell their beloved vessel.
