BERTRAM YACHT, the legendary builder of high-performance sportfishing boats under Ferretti Group, draws from more than 75 years of unrivaled boat-building experience and an unceasing pursuit of cutting-edge technology to launch the latest generation of its sportfishers with the 670 Convertible.

Although the 670 flaunts more European lines than past models, its performance as a true battlewagon is unmistakable due to Bertram's heritage of building only sportfishing boats. The 168 square-foot cockpit is larger than some 70' models. Die-hard cockpit amenities are standard: storage for big catches, ample prep area, open sink area, cutting table, live-bait storage, and stand-up rod storage with a built-in washdown shower. From the wheel, a helmsman can see the bow pulpit as easily as the angler fighting a fish in the chair.

The 670 then adds innovative features such as a molded exterior staircase to the bridge and a power-activated electronics pod that rises and adjusts to any position out of the console.

Drawing from the sophisticated design systems of five world-renowned shipyards, Bertram engineers enhanced the signature Deep-V hull that set the standard for offshore excellence more than 40 years ago when prototype "Moppie" 31' took the storm-swept Miami-Nassau race in record time. The 670 boat an even sharper entry to ensure the legendary, wave-slitting Bertram ride and an exceptionally dry cockpit with none of the spray and mist in many other convertibles in its class.

With Detroit Diesel MTU DDC 2x 1800HP engines, the 670 cruises at 33 knots and top out at 37, virtually matching original projections.

"We projected 36.5 knots and the boat does 37 even with a full tower," said Norberto Ferretti, President and CEO of Ferretti Group. "The waterline was perfect. There was no need to shift anything for balance. Whether the single fuel tank (placed mid-ship) is full or empty, the running attitude remains the same." With the newest 2000 series Detroit/MTU engines, the 670 is due to get even faster as nearly 2,000 horses could translate in a two-knot increased.

Bertram Yacht's recipe for success is an equal blend of bold vision and intense passion for the American-born manufacturer.

The 670 begins a new era of producing larger luxury sportfishing convertibles and promises to be as successful as recent predecessors that marked the company's 40th anniversary: 390, 450 and 510 Convertibles.

Finally, Zuccon International Project developed a modified yet classic Bertram exterior and interior layout that exceeds every boat in its class in luxury, amenities and effective use of space.

For all its sweeping curves the 670 is distinctively a Bertram. With the staircase, the flybridge itself is more easily accessible. The bridge lounge area transforms from the traditional vantage point into an entertainment option for the guests featuring a spacious U-shaped lounge with optional table, plus a food prep area with cooking grill, sink and under-counter refrigerator and storage.

The 670's interior living area layout is breakthrough design that offers intimacy and space in four distinct areas through a medley of angels and curves.

Aft portside, a living room with couch flanked by armchairs provides seating for eight to ten people within a true "conversation area," complete bar area allows space for barstools. A raised, open galley with full size and under-counter refrigerator overlooks the living area and connects directly to the dinette hat accommodate up to eight. The salon leads to a lavish full beam master suite with a walk-in closet, and a spacious master head with his and her sinks, plus a forward VIP stateroom with in-suite head A starboard twin-berth stateroom and portside upper/lower crew's quarters complete the four-room, four-head plan.

The layout is accented with the finest high-gloss cherry wood and authentic Italian granite and marble were selected as standard for the 670, real wood blinds and floors are part of a customized décor by Marty Lowe.

Finally, the immaculate and spacious engine room offers a generous headroom for easy access and maintenance. Aft of the engine room is the machinery room were a pair of 23-kw generator are located. A removable machinery hatch is standard for generator removal without major altercation to the boat structure. Fuel tank placement mid-ship minimizes trim angle and insulates engine room noise and heat.
