Designed as a variation on the theme of the Open version, the 42 Sport is a craft more decidedly for summer use: a boat close to the concept of the "tender boat", boasting refined design provided by Fulvio De Simoni.
Its length of just 12.60 metres is an excellent compromise between roomy comfort and ease of management: this craft can still stand out with excellent performance, safe and stable thanks to a narrow "V" keel. With two 480 horsepower Yanmar engines with straight shafts or IPS, it has a top speed of 34 knots.
Its key feature is its roomy cockpit: exploiting the innovative hydraulic opening of the stern deck, the continuity of the walk-over surface between the flybridge, the cockpit and the bathing platform, all completely open to the sky, is emphasised for an excellent result in terms of both style and practicality. The large, taut awning installed on the AP 42 Sport allows the surfaces to be provided with ample protection when required. The control position, with a modern, functional control panel, is on the starboard side, with a sofa complete with central table to port. The galley block is located in an elegant white cabinet on the starboard wall.
The interiors offer a spacious cabin with double bed in the bows with wardrobes and wall cabinets, and a toilet with separate shower. The port side houses a dinette with sofa-bed, allowing the craft to accommodate four people overnight.
