The 39 Eastbay marks the evolution of an icon, the successor to the pace-setting 38EX that launched the series for Grand Banks - and pioneered the contemporary Downeast cruiser for boaters everywhere.

With graceful, sweeping lines, the 39 Eastbay complements her stylish "curve appeal" with a powerful set of performance features, matching classic beauty with pure exhilaration at every turn. Atop a proven deep-V hull designed by Ray Hunt Associates, she can easily top 30 knots while keeping dry and steady through the waves. Inside, you'll enjoy outstanding visibility from the helm and throughout the salon, which opens to a spacious cockpit featuring a large teak deck, large lazarette, and classic GB amenities like pop-up fender cleats.

Today's Grand Banks are designed to provide higher speeds when needed, while also delivering fuel economy - and comfortable cruising over long distances - when moving at a slower pace. Our use of electronically controlled diesel engines gives you greater performance and flexibility than ever before, while dramatically reducing smoke, odor and engine idle noise.


SX OR HX?
The SX features a salon that is fully enclosed from the cockpit by glass windows and a locking door. The HX opens that helm deck to the cockpit and outdoors beyond, with no glass, doors, or other superstructure between the hardtop and the aft salon bulkhead. Also in the HX, the teak decking extends fully from the cockpit into the helm deck, and a sliding hatch encloses the lower deck at the companionway entrance.


GALLEY & DINING AREA
Light from above spills into the port-side dining area, where a large U-shaped dinette surrounds a teak dining table. The galley features Corian® countertops, a microwave/ convection oven and lots of cleverly-designed storage.


HEAD & STALL SHOWER
The 39 Eastbay packs a lot of features for her size - including a well-designed head with a separate standing shower enclosed by a stylishly curved Plexiglas door.


COMMAND HELM
A Stidd® helm seat comes standard, lending to the comfort and control owners will enjoy at the helm. A second, port-side seat can be added opposite the helm station as an option.


LARGE MASTER CABIN
In a remarkable achievement for a sub-40-foot cruiser, the master stateroom of the 39 Eastbay features a queen-size island berth, cedar-lined hanging locker and plenty of storage in hand-built teak drawers.


CURVE APPEAL
The abundance of light and visibility in the salon is aided by large curved windows at the aft corners, adding to her stylish lines.


EXPANSIVE COCKPIT
The cockpit of the 39 Eastbay provides an expansive area for entertaining, fishing, or simply soaking up the sun. A molded-in settee sits on a pneumatic gas-assist lift for easy access to the large lazarette below.


ENGINE ROOM
The engine room, accessed through the salon sole, features Groco® safety seacocks on engine raw-water inlets, Racor® water-separating filters on the engines and genset, PYI's PSS Face shaft seals, Fireboy® suppression systems and more - all in a well-designed, finely-finished space.


BONDED, DIRECT-GLAZE WINDOWS
New frameless windows are integrated with the deckhouse mold to reduce the chance of leaks, limit maintenance - and for a more refined, appealing look to your boat.
