iboats Review of Mitzi Skiff : Manufacturer of Mitzi Skiff Skiffs

Mitzi Skiff believes that it shouldn't cost a fortune to do what you love. If boating is what you love, Mitzi Skiff is the brand to go; you can find high-caliber skiffs for an agreeable price. The creators of Mitzi Skiff are true originals, forging their own path. Tom Mitzlaff couldn't find the exact boat that he was looking for. He wanted a shallow draft, simple layout for fly fishing, and inexpensive maintenance. Instead of f alling into the costly trap that most boat sellers make, Mitzi Skiff was born!

The Mitzi 15 Tender is the original skiff boat made by Mitzi and it can be used with tiller, center, or side console steering. The skiff is lightweight with a very shallow draft- perfect for shallow water fishing. The dead poling capability of these skiffs will amaze you. Although this boat has a simple layout, it contains plenty of storage for those odds and ends. It comes standard with remote controls, rode holders, heavy duty rub rails, and an aluminum poling platform with a non-skid surface.

In the larger boats, there comes an option to have the transom extend around the outboard. This is an important design element for fishing skiffs, because it allows the boat to have a great hole shot while preventing the transom to dig down into the water. Fishermen can get to their desired locations quickly without having to worry about prop or hull damage while in shallow waters. The larger boats come with a minimum of three rear hatches and storage under the front deck. Buyers won't believe how much room there is on this little boat. The fishability of these boats will impress anyone.
