~Glacier Bay's new 3065 Canyon Runner is targeted at the hard-core fisherman who has deep ocean, big fish in mind. Every detail has been refined and tuned to fit his exact needs and expectations. The hull is an all new groundbreaking, patent pending, design from Glacier Bay that makes significant steps forward in fuel efficiency, roll stability, handling, and spray reflection.

New Quantum Hull
Fuel Efficiency and horsepower requirements have been improved significantly. Owners will see a 6%-8% increase over previous designs through a re-shaping of the aft under bodies to improve the hydrodynamics (smoother flow).

Handling - Roll Stability has been stepped up significantly with a reshaping of the hulls outboard power chine. The boat's ability to Bank into Turns has also been enhanced with a re-proportioning of the aft underbody.

Spray Damping - The final enhancement is in the hull's Spray Reflection and Damping characteristics. The chines have been re-sized and re-shaped to bend the spray down closer to waterline eliminating mist in all sea conditions.

Fishing Features
Fish Lockers - Many of today's designs have wide, flat bottomed wells. While they hold a lot of fish, they also allow the fish to slide and bang around while taking extra ice to keep them cool. The new GB 3065 has three under deck fish wells of vastly different sizes, allowing you to select the appropriate one(s) for the day's event. They have sloping, wedge shaped bottoms that keep the fish still and the ice compact. Additionally, the compartments have been designed to accept THREE of the largest Igloo Coolers made, for use in very warm climate fishing. One can be used to store ice, while the others carry catch. (Cooler inside of a Cooler design or Coolers Cubed = ice efficiency).

An option for the ultimate angler is a 6.5 foot long removable insulated liner for the starboard fishwell that can take a very large Tuna or Sailfish and keep it cool for extended periods with a limited amount of ice.

Tackle Storage - The 3065 has Four key tackle storage features standard: First is an all-new, patent pending plug and lure storage system that's located in the center console's starboard hanging locker. The system utilizes a series of stretcher bungees that permits plugs and lures to be easily stored and removed without any tangles. The three other tackle storage features are all at the Helm Seat bait prep center: removable tackle boxes, a tip out bin and multiple extra deep drawers. One of the drawer faces conceals an optional super convenient automatic wash down hose reel.

The Livewell That Really Means It - To keep the bait alive, we've come up with another all new, patent pending GB feature. Most live wells have one small screened over flow drain that can plug or capture bait. We have screened off and molded a full tank periphery drain gutter that will never plug or stress the bait.

No More Splashes - The 3065 uses a heavy duty hinged gasket lid for its 42 gallon oval livewell. The lid comes standard with a heavy duty latch that will keep the bait and the water in its place even in rough going, not all over the aft deck or your passengers. The top of this lid also includes a comfortable removable dual density seat cushion, large enough for two adults.

Bait Prep - We've avoided locating the cutting board in the middle of the boat, where waste removal can be a problem, also the boards tend to look bloody and cut up very quickly on a new boat. The 3065 has a UHMD cutting board in the port stern corner. The waste is easily flipped overboard and the board is hidden under a lid when not in use - clean and efficient!

Creature Comfort
Ergonomic Helm Seating - An age old problem of center consoles is the awkward helm position. When you position the leaning post seat where it's comfortable while seated, it's too close when standing. Compromise has been the rule - and suits no one - especially those who are a bit large or a bit small. The 3065 tackles this problem with a thickly upholstered double-wide slider seat assembly and integrated flip-up bolsters. Pull a trigger to get the right seat position and simply flip up the bolster for plenty of standing room.

Room for Everyone - Passenger seating is another area where fishermen have a love-hate relationship. The captain is typically OK in this department because he has the helm seat, but his guests often get the short seat. Fishermen need deck space to fight fish.

The 3065 solves this problem in several ways. The aft deck has two seating areas that will be handy for the ride out and while fishing. The first is a double wide dual-density cushion over the live well, sized so you can face aft while trolling or abeam when hauling in the big one. GB also offers twin heavy-duty 24" wide GG Schmitt Jump Seat units in the outside corners of the aft cockpit wall that fold flat to the wall when not needed as an option. The 3065 also comes standard with a Bow Storage Island (holds a 54 qt igloo plus an extra 55 gallon gelcoat lined locker) that provides sun lounging space for two more - for a total of 8 very comfortable people!
