The Snake and its tributaries feature some of the planet's most demanding whitewater. The 198X reflects the very best of Weldcraft's vast whitewater experience. The freshwater-cooled, catalyzed 5.7L MEFI-5 power plant is matched to an American Turbine SD-309 inboard pump (other pump and engine options available) in a 19' length that jumps to attention when you advance the throttle. The complement of a .250 whitewater bottom and 8° deadrise at the transom make the 198X a serious whitewater inboard jet boat. But the 198X isn’t just a superb shallow water performer it's equally adept at pulling skiers, crabbing, hunting or parked on a forgotten river bank far from the bustle of city life.
