We have raised the question – can fun follow function? Can we build a boat that is useful, yet stylish? The short answer: yes. The long answer: yes. Let us explain.

At Cobalt, we have always believed that nothing can be stylish if it’s not useful first. And so the 302 celebrates the luxurious, very efficient use of space. We start with massive storage bins stashed in the perfect points of access. Function. Then, we add some accommodations including but not limited to the large compartment in the bow with a hanging rod and shelving. More function. We must not forget about the exclusive swim step – a beautiful solution to easy and safe entry into and out of the water. Repeat, more function.

And now comes the fun. Stainless steel galore. From the sink to the fixtures, to the refrigerator to the stereo speakers. First class all the way. Details such as domed switches at the dash. We can’t forget the helm seat with its signature flip feature. And how about the cockpit’s dinette table which folds away nicely, with no disassembly whatsoever. Yes, fun indeed.

There is nothing more fun than the legendary ride of a Cobalt. The 302 is no exception. Performance beyond speed. A ride that is so smooth, quick to plane and stability in turns. All function. All fun.
