From the renowned stable of CABO Yachts comes its largest model yet, the CABO 52 Express. This is a state-of-the-art sportfisher, designed and manufactured with the same attention to detail that brought the company so much acclaim back in 1993 after it introduced its first Express, the CABO 35 Express.
Before that first boat was delivered CABO's goal was clearly understood by everyone on the manufacturing team. Build the best sportfishers money can buy. That goal has been well met in the latest thoroughbred from CABO Yachts.

The CABO 52 Express includes meticulously executed naval architecture and hull design, coupled with CABOs widely recognized penchant for sumptuous-yet-practical interior layout, unparalleled systems engineering and high tech fabrication, which has resulted in a hull that is not only well balanced, but remarkably dry, smooth and fast.

A balanced hull is the most difficult thing to perfect in any new boat design. Superior hull balance allows the CABO 52 Express to cleave rough seas, glide comfortably over large waves, stir up less spray and move through the water with minimal hull resistance.

The CABO 52 Express also incorporates weight distribution that allows it to track well, particularly in following seas. This new model carries substantial weight aft, providing hull balance that provides superior performance and ride characteristics and a vessel that is truly worthy of the distinguished CABO reputation for building the best production sportfishers in the world.

Naturally, the CABO 52 is built with the same care, high tech materials and quality control as her smaller siblings in the CABO fleet. Color coded and clearly labeled wiring and circuitry, easily accessed and meticulously laid out electrical panels, high quality polished stainless steel hardware, functional machinery spaces, the finest componentry, not to mention the meticulous attention to detail that is part of every CABO Yacht.

CABO's meticulous manufacturing process and incorporation of some of the most expensive materials used in the production boat building industry further separates the CABO 52 Express from the competition. Impermeable vinylester resins are used throughout the production process, and when they are carefully applied to stitched biaxial fiberglass reinforcement and used with vacuum bagged closed cell foam, there is a commensurate increase in hull strength and weight reduction that is unparalleled.

CABO Yachts is one of the most successful boat building companies in the business thanks to the undying commitment to its customers to incorporate the best materials, superior design and a steadfast attention to construction details that is without peer in the industry. The CABO 52 Express reflects that philosophy.

Accommodations.

The interior on the CABO 52 Express is typical of CABO Yachts' unmatched standards of quality and understated luxury. Molded, easy to care for Corian countertops, positive stainless latches, polished stainless steel hinges, hasps and drawer pulls, hidden areas that are carefully finished, ample provisions for rod and tackle storage, upgraded fabrics and materials, satin finished teak cabinetry and so much more. Everything the discerning sportsman expects from a boat bearing the CABO Yachts name and reputation can be found in the interior of the CABO 52.

The main salon includes a comfortable "L" shaped lounge, as well as a Bose Lifestyle 38 surround sound AM/FM/CD/DVD system, recessed halogen lighting, superb teak joinery finished in CABO's signature satin varnish with cross-hatch vents in the cabinet doors, and selection of top quality interior fabrics and coverings. A full head is to starboard conveniently located immediately adjacent to the stairs leading down from the command deck.

Engine Room.

Since its inception, CABO Yachts has been widely recognized for their emphasis on superb engineering and engine room ergonomics as well as their meticulous wiring and mechanical layout. All that and more is neatly incorporated into the CABO 52 Express.

Twin MAN V12-1360CRM, 1360 HP, V-12 common rail injection, turbocharged and after-cooled marine diesel engines nestle into the glistening white gelcoat finished engine spaces, with plumbing, wiring, shafting and control cables neatly run, secured and easily accessed. ZF 2050A transmissions with trolling valves transfer engine power to the shafts. Other power options range from V-10 MTU's to 1550 HP Caterpillar C32's.

Attention to detail is clearly evident throughout the engine room, from the installation of the 20kW genset and easy to clean gelcoat finish throughout, to the rubber or polymer grommetted protectors found on any wire running through a bulkhead. Aircraft grade braided stainless steel fuel lines, clearly labeled plumbing valves, switches and wiring runs are found throughout.

You'll be hard pressed to find a production or custom boat anywhere that has better engineered, equipped and detailed engine compartment than the one youll find on the CABO 52 Express.

The functional galley area includes a ceramic two burner cooktop recessed into the Corian countertop; a convection/ microwave oven; drawer type Sub-Zero refrigerator and Sub- Zerofreezer; a polished deep sink with garbage disposal; storage compartments and silverware drawers throughout; countertop lighting and ample GFI protected electrical outlets.

Forward and to port is a stateroom, which has twin berths, a dresser with custom wall mounted mirror, individual air conditioning controls and additional recessed halogen lighting everywhere it is needed.

The forward stateroom is designed to accommodate a choice of an island double berth or three single berths. There is a custom built-in TV, stereo speakers with volume control, a built-in safe for documents and valuables, individual AC controls, cedar lined hanging lockers port and starboard, as well as rod storage lockers for up to 8 rods.

The two head compartments (one amidships and one forward) include custom Corian vanities each with a sink, storage cabinet and sliding mirror, enclosed showers with automatic shower sump pumps, Sealand Vacuflush electric heads and a ventilating hatch.

CABO's acclaimed balance between functionality and beauty is clear throughout the interior accommodations spaces. A selection of custom dcor packages allows for personalizing the interior to suit the whims of even the most discriminating buyer.

Fishability.

In every CABO fishability is both a focus and a critical component. To that end, the huge cockpit of the 52 Express includes a bait prep center with a gas actuated spring supported lid covering the sink, a rigging board, an ice box with refrigeration plates and voluminous tackle storage. A 50 gallon circulating bait tank with a large drain is molded into the transom. Large capacity insulated fish boxes have gasketed positive latching lids with gas actuated spring supports, removable liners and macerator pumps on the drains are built into the cockpit sole. The padded cockpit coaming and CABO's precise non-skid deck pattern provide stability for the working angler. Gaff and tag stick holders are properly positioned under the gunwales and 5 rod holders are standard.

Self bailing cockpit scuppers, a transom gate and outward opening "tuna door" fitted with CABO's beefy custom made hinges, and quick-disconnect fresh and saltwater washdown systems add to the utility of the cockpit fishing space. CABO includes an aluminum reinforcing plate molded in the cockpit deck for mounting a fighting chair, and there are functional step boxes in the forward port and starboard corners of the cockpit to allow easy access to the side and foredecks.

The command console on the helm deck is carefully positioned to provide the operator with a clear view forward, abeam and astern, and it is integrally molded with plenty of room for a complete array of modern marine electronics, the MAN electronic controls and color digital read outs, plus an array of custom switch panels, warning lights and alarms. Palm Beach pod mounted single lever electronic controls promise responsive and easy maneuverability. Comfortable Stidd helm and twin Stidd companion seats include adjustable footrests, and there is plenty of lockable cabinet storage under the "L"shaped lounge for more tackle and accessories.

While every CABO is delivered with extensive standard equipment a list of options will let you semi-customize your new CABO 52 Express to meet your specific desires, lifestyle and sportfishing requirements. From a range of hull colors to differing rail types and materials, to swim platforms and cockpit icemakers, to fine leathers and a choice of countertop colors, CABO Yachts gives you many creative options to allow you to make your boat truly yours.

CABO Yachts designs and manufactures the world's most advanced sportfishing yachts and has a well founded worldwide reputation for unmatched design, quality and performance.

It is little wonder that CABO Yachts are found virtually everywhere in the world where great game fish are pursued. These purpose built yachts are designed from the keel up with the specialized needs of sport fishermen in mind. Nowhere is this better illustrated than in the cockpit of the CABO 52 Express.
