This beautiful Stern-wheeler was built in Bandon, Oregon in 1987. At 80' long and 98 gross tons, it is a replica of an 1870's paddlewheel boat. This type of boat was used to transport passengers, lumber and a variety of cargoes during the 1800's. Today this type of boat is used primarily for recreational activities that may include private parties and fine dining.
Her hull is made of welded steel and is flat on the bottom which significantly decreases the motion of the vessel in rough water. The paddlewheel is the sole means of propulsion and is run by a Cummins 855, 350 hp, in-line six, turbo diesel engine. Fore and aft rudders enable the boat to steer left and right.
This Sternwheeler is currently operating as a commercial business doing public cruises and private charters on the Willamette River in Oregon. This vessel could also serve as a floating restaurant, or it would make one of the most unique luxury liveaboard conversions – anywhere!
The Lower Parlor features a Full Service Bar, a Banquet Area w/seating for 36, a Hallway, 2 Rest Rooms, and a Galley/Servers Area.
Just up the oak staircase is the Upper Parlor featuring Fore and Aft Observation Decks. Seating and occupancy capacity, when combined with the Aft Observation Deck, is 82. Chairs can be placed around the perimeter of the Parlor to open up the “Dance Floor.” Banquet tables can also be set up to accommodate 48 guests.
