Increasing the cross channels from 1/8" thickness to 1/4" thickness at the bow and stern. Every 16 inches the cross channels at the middle of the pontoon also increases the structure strength. The use of stainless steel flanged elevator bolts with locking nuts as apposed to self tapping screws increases the hold. All the aluminum connections are welded on 4 sides again increasing the strength of the structure. Bennington doubled their corners and decks with heavy-gauge aluminum to prevent damage.
