Research 2018 - Gator Boats - Pirogues

Our pirogues are true Louisiana pirogues. These small boats have been in use here for hundreds of years for traversing VERY shallow backwaters. These boats need almost no water to be poled, even with a load. The draft is shallow, just a couple of inches, and the weights are low, 80lbs or so.
