Wait! It gets better. With triple 480 hp diesel engines it will allow you to cruise - cruise, mind you at 50-mph while barely sipping fuel: a little over one mile per gallon. Advance the throttles and power out to the islands at 63-mph. Power and speed aren't the only stories: the 48's 12-foot beam gives you the perfect combination of smooth ride and stable comfort. Remember, this yacht's heritage comes from the brutal world of offshore racing and Reggie Fountain's many championships. That's why he designed it the way he did.

The master stateroom has a pedestal berth flanked by matching couches. The bathroom offers VacuFlush MSD, shower, molded Corian sink, and lots of stowage for towels and accessories. It is completely private. There also is a cedar-lined hanging locker. The master also has a full entertainment center with flat-screen TV, CD, and DVD player.

Guests also are cosseted in luxury in an aft cabin of their own with double berth and bedside table. There is yet another flat-screen TV.
