Hull Design
The 50 Super Sport possesses the soft contours, elegant design, and distinctive sheerline that make Oceans the touchstone in classic American production yachts. Like her sister ships, the 50 SS has an evolved planing hull, which makes them the best roughwater yachts in Ocean’s 30 year history – perhaps the best in their class.
They can remain at cruising speed, in difficult seas, and not take a beating. While foul weather may keep most other sportfishermen at the dock, they are running for the offshore canyons – and big-game fish. The 50 Super Sport is capable of 30+ knots with standard diesel engines driving her.
Optional powerplants are available for those wanting even more power.

Flybridge
The bridge boasts a fully instrumented, angled helm station with excellent visibility. The custom-designed hardtop with three-sided enclosure, lounge seating, under-seat storage compartment, companion and helmsman’s chairs are all standard. An EZ2CY enclosure is a popular option, as are an aft enclosure, a refrigerator/freezer box, and a hatch in the hardtop.


Cockpit
The transom-mounted circulating live baitwell, tackle locker, insulated drink box, and the bait prep center’s freezer and fresh-water sink enhance the sportfishing experience. A hinged gate in the transom door, fresh and seawater washdowns, rodholders, and large insulated fishboxes are standard. A refrigerated fishbox is an option. Rupp outriggers, center rigger, and a fighting chair are tournament-ready options. Engine-room and Lazarette access is located here.


Salon
The spacious salon is enriched by teak, or optional cherry, bulkheads and cabinets, sumptuous fabrics, wall treatments, upholstered panels and valances. New owner’s can choose one of three designer decor selections from William Bales and Company.
An upholstered chair complements the L-lounge, with concealed rod storage. The entertainment center includes a LCD TV with a Bose Lifestyle 18 Stereo System and CD/DVD player.
