In any drift boat the key to a boat that rows exceptionally well is in how the bottom is configured. Alumaweld’s bottom designs are the product of decades of building and rowing experience. The “classic” bottom rocker is a little more acute, that is, there’s more bottom rocker in this boat than the Pro Guide series. The additional bottom rocker aids in turning the boat more quickly through tight turns and rapids. The Pro Guide model has a larger “footprint” which handles heavier loads better. It’s all about bottom design and Alumaweld has been a leader since the original aluminum drift boat was built by Alumaweld in the early 70’s.
