1997 ERICSON 333 Regatta Edition - BUILT BY PACIFIC SEACRAFT

YANMAR 27 HP DIESEL (ONLY 850 HRS.), EDSON WHEEL, RITCHIE COMPASS, AUTOHELM, B&G DEPTH/WIND/KNOT/GPS/REPEATER, HARKEN FURLING, HARKEN WINCHES, LAZY JACKS, SHORE POWER, BATTERY CHARGER, REFRIGERATION, PROPANE STOVE/OVEN, STEREO, DODGER, AWNING, BRUCE ANCHOR, COCKPIT SHOWER, PRIVATE AFT CABIN. THIS BOAT HAS HAD LIGHT USE AND IS IN GREAT CONDITION.

This Bruce King design is an excellent family racer/cruiser featuring two separate staterooms, a luxurious main salon, enclosed head, combination ice box/chart table/ nav station and spacious galley. She is hand built with meticulous detail and outstanding joiner work from the master craftsmen at Pacific Seacraft.

The 333 is set up on deck with all controls led aft to the cockpit and features a complete complement of Harken deck hardware. For family fun, a swim platform is molded into the transom making the cockpit a great outdoor patio at anchor. All of this is complimentary to her outstanding sailing performance. With her balanced helm and sensibly proportioned hull shape, she tracks easily, tacks effortlessly and is quick upwind and downwind.

OWNER COMMENTS:

I bought my wife sailing lessons for Christmas over 20 years ago because I felt like she needed an activity. She was thrilled but insisted that I join her (my plan worked). Our sons were around 7 & 9 years old at the time and had a blast the few times we rented. Renting was expensive so we figured what the heck and bought a 1983 Ericson 30+. Probably the hardest purchase I wrestled with, but the payoff was worth it. Going out on the weekends really drew the family tight. When we would anchor out for the weekend at say Block Island or Watch Hill, I'd set up the Dyer sailing dinghy and the boys would go out and rumble with the other kids. When my boys got older we did the Wednesday night races together.

Eventually both of my sons went off to college. We kept sailing, and we bought the Ericson 333 during this period. She gave us a larger layout with some nice options. We'd sail as a family during the summer, though the times out with our sons grew less frequent. The best family trip during that period had to be a run out to Martha's Vineyard, via Block Island and Cuttyhunk. Had some 35 knot winds kick up on the last leg but the boat was solid. The best trip ever was when we went to Nantucket for our 25th anniversary. It was the only time we've ever done a two week vacation.

Actually, just about every time out on the boat was great. My wife used to say "why would we want a beach house when we can change the views and neighbors at will?"

The thing that I like most about this boat is that she is solid. Ericson always made a good boat, but when Pacific Seacraft got involved, it seems like they upped the anti. The boat points well and is easily sailed single-handed.

I did the trip solo, and had 25 knot winds on the nose with 4-6 foot seas off Bartlet Reef. I had all the confidence in this boat..

Selling due to retirement and want to do other things.
