Illusion is a rare and limited production Grand Banks 36 Europa. Twin engines with bow thruster and more. The Europa design emphasizes livability in the main salon and galley areas. In addition to great visibility and ventilation, this boat also has forced air heat, making it warm and dry for comfortable winter use. The interior is entirely teak, in the Grand Banks tradition. Since it's discontinuation from new production, the 36 Europa is a scarcity. You will appreciate the walk-around side decks and extension of the cabin house roof, both of which provide protection from the elements. The extended roof area makes room for additional storage space aft of the flybridge and extends your living space outdoors. Illusion is a nice find in todays market with a run on one or two engines in addition to massively docking ease with the bow thruster, loaded with options.
BROKERS REMARKS: I cant believe the options. A very rare model with original owner. Illusion was supposed to be a single engine with bow thruster as you see from time to time. Well the factory or the dealer made a mistake and the current owner has made peace with that fact of a good deal from the factory floor to his dock with twin Cummins engines, bow thruster, larger gen-set, and all the bells and whistles you could put on one. I do not believe I have seen a twin engine with bow thruster on the market in some time in a G.B. You could drive to port or starboard with some practice and never touch the wheel. She is for sale after a long ownership. This is a chance to have a very nice trawler with nothing to spare. Vessel is now back in the U.S. located in Tarpon Springs, a fresh clean and detail now being completed, fresh canvas, engines serviced, a/c's etc.

Cabin sole is teak parquet with two access hatches to the engine room. An additional hatch at the aft end of the saloon provides access to the generator with ease.

On the salon levee, the galley has a 360 degree view, making it inviting even in the open sea. Located near the inside steering station, it is conveniently accessible to the single-handed pilot, but separated from the main salon enough to give the cook ample workspace out of traffic. Designed for extensive coastal cruising, this galley functions well with its stainless propane cook top and oven, stainless sink. The height and design of the faucet provide easy cleaning for large pots and platters. Refrigerator COLD PLATE is under the counter with a teak door on the side of the cabinetry. Generous storage for even large cookware is under the sink with a full-extension drawer under oven, utensil and accessory drawers near the cook top, and plate and glassware storage under the lift-up hinged countertop. A large storage, and the cupboard secured to the overhead in a corner of the galley, provides good supply to the food yield perfectly baked cookies, breads, pizzas, casseroles, and roasts. The excellent ventilation makes this galley a pleasant work area in all climates.
Flybridge
The flybridge is extra large, incorporating the overhang covering the aft deck. The teak deck and surrounding canvas enclosure make it a great place for lying in the sun with complete privacy.
The forward section of the flybridge supplies seating for eight. Starboard steering station includes a stainless and teak wheel; engine gauges, Morse controls, and a weatherproof storage are housing the electronics.
Storage below all of the flybridge seats. Under the port seat is the aluminum propane tank with electric shut off and outboard fuel tanks. Large storage compartment under the desk area at the forward end of the flybridge.
