Classic good looks, expansive interior spaces and great overall performance highlight what has continued to make the Chris Craft 60 Roamer popular 30+ years later. "SEA MOOSE" features an almost original interior which has not been cobbled up...and although she needs a new interior and other updating, she would offer the opportunity for a buyer to restore her to original condition or modify her to whatever suits their cruising needs. She would make a great liveaboard. Her CAT D3366 engines are original, she has had one of her two generators replaced with a late model 20KW Onan, her hull received an AWL GRIP paint job about seven years ago and she features a newer Vacuflush head system throughout. Most of the electronics were upgraded several years ago and handling is improved with Hynautic clutches and throttles. "SEA MOOSE" is a four stateroom model with a starb'd side master. Because of her good overall condition, she would be an ideal candidate for a total refit with the result being a gorgeous, traditional flushdeck motoryacht that will turn heads in every harbor she enters. Accommodations and layout
"SEA MOOSE" may be boarded from either port or starb'd thru oversized wing doors or via the custom, HUGE swim platform w/easy to navigate steps up to the bridge deck. SEA MOOSE features a hard enclosure w/large sliding glass windows, except the aft which is enclosed via eisenglass. This bridge deck salon is absolutely HUGE and will accommodate a great deal of furniture for entertaining. Abaft the lower station is a wrap around bar which features under counter refrigeration and ice makers. Four stools provide seating at the bar. Storage is abundant and should make restocking the bar a breeze. The lower station features some newer electronics and all VDO engine instumentation. A large riding seat provides comfortable seating for Captain and company and easy access to the helm. Bridge access is provided by a easy to climb stainless and teak ladder. Step down four wide steps into the expansive lower salon. Storage and a large couch occupies the portside area while the starb'd side has all the electrical panels and controls located forward. This area could easily accommodate another couch or two swivel chairs with a coffee table. Coordinated drapes provide privacy but allow plenty of light to enter the cabin creating a very open and airy feeling. The galley is down, but a single step which puts the cook right in the middle of the party. A full size refrigerator/freezer is sizable enough to handle most cruising meals or to entertain large parties. A single large sink, dish washer and stove top w/oven fit in an area that leaves plenty of space for storage. Doors and drawers hide the storage spaces and the countertop space is quite extensive. The area is completely original for the person who wants to maintain the boat in its as delivered state. The dinette is opposite and will seat four very nicely. It features the original Chris Craft table with silverware drawer. Forward of the galley, to portside, is the day head which featues a new Vacuflush head and shower. Opposite are upper and lower bunks and plenty of storage areas. Anchor locker access is forward against the bulkhead wall. Moving aft from the lower salon down a long companionway, to starb'd are two staterooms that are separated by a head w/stall shower. There is a large linen closet w/storage drawers underneath. The lengthy master stateroom features a queen bed with chest of drawers on both sides, extensive use of mirrors to open up the area, large closets, a vanity with chair, and even more drawers and storage areas. The ensuite head features a stall shower and additional storage. We think that what makes this boat very desirable is the fact that she hasn't been chopped up and "customized"...by less than skillful people. The charm in this boat is that she could be made original in her layout with updated materials, fixtures and appliances. In other words, she has great "bones".
