Tricks, slalom, jumping - the ProStar 190 does it all. It pulled the U.S. Nationals decades ago, and it still pulls skiing world records today. In addition, the 190 features full display instrumentation with all of the controls you need for maximum performance, a full-width rear storage compartment, and the rear seat converts to a comfy three-person sun pad when you’re not chasing world records.
Overview
For skiers who want to share their course experiences with the family or a group of friends, MasterCraft offers the ProStar 209, the most spacious slalom specialist in its lineup. With a 96-inch beam and impressive wake performance for its size class, the 209 not only boasts specs that will make both passengers and skiers happy, it also won our testers' approval as a choice family-slalom combo.
Wakes
This wide-body direct-drive only takes a slight step down in wakes from its high-performing ProStar siblings, the 190 and 197. Although spray may be an issue at really short line lengths, the 209 ranked above average in almost every aspect of our tests, from impressive wake size to a manageable bump at 22 off.
Handling
The 209's responsiveness was above average, though it was just a little slower out of the hole compared to the 197. It tracked fairly well, and the nimble power turns in this wider-than-usual tournament-level direct-drive were impressive.
Comfort
Besides the impressive spaciousness of the interior, the 209 also features thoughtful touches of comfort such as a low-profile dash to improve driver visibility as well as snap-out carpet in the open bow. The rear bench seat can easily fit four adults across its plush upholstery.
