Starting at the bow, a 20# Danforth anchor is secured on its stainless steel anchor roller chock, or it can be stowed with its chain lead and nylon line in the rope locker just aft, in the foredeck. A single-rail, stainless pulpit extends aft port and starboard to the aft cockpit, mounted above a 12”-high bulwark for added security. Three pairs of mooring cleats are mounted, semi-recessed, on the bulwark, forward, aft and midships.
On the forward face of the raised cabin is mounted a comfortable, upholstered, full-width seat immediately in front of a large, acrylic skylight hatch, opening to the berth below. Just aft of the hatch is the GPS antenna to starboard and the VHF whip antenna to port. A black and stainless-framed, wrap-around windshield, with opening vent wing windows separate the cockpit from the cabin top. Above the cockpit is a large, blue, Sunbrella, Bimini top and stainless frame to which a dodger can be zipped forward and aft, with side curtains, in cold or otherwise nasty weather. (The boat comes with a full cover for winter storage.)
The cockpit forward is divided into the helm to starboard and the companionway to port leading down to the cuddy cabin. The helm is fully equipped with propulsion instrument and controls cluster, stainless wheel with hydraulic steering, compass, GPS Colormap, fishfinder/depth log, and battery and house switch panels, Cockpit speakers are run off a stereo system in the cabin.
The upholstered cockpit seats are arranged back-to-back (two, forward-facing, adjustable, bucket seats for skipper and mate, and a padded, dual, bench-and-back seat, facing aft) on the large, engine cover. The engine compartment cover is hinged aft and raises easily with pneumatic piston assist, for all-around access to the engine.
Farther aft, ensconced in the bulwarks, are a large, shelf locker (2’ x 2 1/2’) and recessed 3-rod holder racks, port and starboard. The wide, aft bulwark incorporates a conveniently placed, 30-gallon, insulated fish box to keep the catch fresh and a 25-gallon, circulating, bait well with bait cutting board that drains overboard. (These two wells also make excellent drink coolers.) The cockpit is equipped with a freshwater shower hose and a seawater washdown hose connection. A flush-deck hatch aft provides access to the steering gear and trim tab machinery. Two rod holders are recessed into the bulwarks, aft, and two are located port and starboard in the spacer between the cockpit seats. The two fuel fittings are located on opposite corners of the transom; the FW fitting is about midships on the starboard bulwark.
At the transom is a full beam, two-foot wide, fiberglass swim platform with folding, overboarding step. Just above the platform is a stainless, near-full width tow bar with centerline water ski towing fitting.
The companionway opens down two steps into the nine-foot cabin, with cushioned berths for two, a small, cabinet-mounted sink with pressure water, and a tall, shelf locker, A portable 3’ x 2’ table inserts into a deck fitting between the two berths. A brand new Portapotty is stowed under the vee berth filler piece. Two opening ports and the overhead skylight hatch provide plenty of light below during the day, and two cabin lights brighten the night. A directional fan helps on those warm nights. Under the companionway step are the two 12 VDC batteries.
Finally, a heavy-duty, tandem-axle trailer comes with the boat for over the road operation.
