RARE ANTIQUE IN WONDERFUL CONDITION!
ONE OF ONLY TWO KNOWN TO HAVE SURVIVED! ONE OF A KIND!
1928 Dawn 42' Commuter. She is one of only 2 Dawn 38 footers known to survive. Yes originally she was 38', but almost immediately after her launching, she was sent back to the factory for a 4 foot extension aft. Over the years she has won numerous awards throughout the Northeastern United States.
She was completely restored in 2004 at Tiffany Yachts in Burgess, Va. including new mahogany planking, oak ribs, keel, generator, upholstery, etc. Kept as she was originally designed except for the addition of heating and air conditioning and the twin Volvo diesel engines. The original mahogany drop leaf table, bronze anchor, mahogany rope hook and mahogany/copper lined ice chest are all in place. Original factory papers, correspondence, and brochures are available upon request. Plus complete documentation including photos and invoices of the restoration are available.
