This vessel is registered and documented in Mexico with a current inspection and permit from the port captain.
OWNER COMMENTS:
I purchased this boat in 2006 from the widow of the original owner. The boat has been moored in the same marina since new. I was going to be living there for some time. I love fishing and I knew Bertram as a very dependable, versatile and stable fishing vessel. This boat is very comfortable in the hot climates because of the shade provided by the flybridge top and deck canopy. I fish this boat 3 x a week during the winter months and have had excellent success with very few problems. We have fished in numerous tournaments and had a lot of fun. My 12 year old daughter caught her 1st Sailfish on this boat when she was 10.
The engines are very quiet and she averages 10 liters p/hour of diesel. I've never had to add oil between oil changes at 200 hours. Some of the maintenance I have done includes new starters, new alternators, new fuel injectors, rebuilt cooling systems, new belts and hoses. Both engines run strong and smooth. I replaced the bilge pumps, the battery charger, wash down pumps, trim tab system, gps, vhf.
In 2008 I drydocked and replaced all through hulls, valves and hoses, strainers. new water fuel separators, new drip less shaft seals, shafts, cutlass bearings and enlarged rudders. Removed old transducers and replaced with new Lowrance - inspected, repaired, cleaned and painted with antifouling paint. I have most of the receipts and all of the original books and literature from Bertram. There are lots of spare parts that include starter, alternator, injectors, seawater pump, impellers, gaskets, nuts, bolts and more.
This last season I fished approx. 400 hours and I had no problems, I only changed the oil and added fuel.
I am sad to sell this boat after putting it in such great condition and having so many wonderful times aboard her, but my schedule won't allow me to spend as much time in Mexico. This vessel will make somebody a wonderful pleasure or charter vessel.
