Our goal in designing the Dargel Kat was to create a boat for all occasions, a boat that would get up and run shallow, provide a smooth ride in rough bays and take you comfortably out the jetties in to the blue waters of our Gulf. The unique design of the HDX KAT has been labled one of the most revolutionary bay boat designs of the century, the hydrolift hull and zero degrees at transom provide a flat pad that will permit you to run in amazingly shallow water, the stretched 74 degree keel splits rough bays wide open providing one of the smoothest rides you've ever experienced in a bay boat, the extended rolled gunnel and carolina flared bow puts water back where it belongs in the bay and provides an extremely dry ride. The lifting strakes at the keel insure the bow of the boat rides high and dry across even the roughest waves and surf and prevent any wave piercing, the louvered tunnel entry STOPS "cat sneeze" completely.

Less than nine inches of draft at rest, the ability to get up on plane in less than twelve inches of water, and it’s rough water handling capabilities make the 250 HDX Dargel KAT the most versatile boat available. And with a GPS speed of 58 mph with a 250 HP Suzuki your odds of being the first one to your favorite fishing spot just got a little better.
