Research 2010 - Beneteau Sailboats - Swift Trawler 42

For years, sailors in the US have asked Beneteau for a trawler as beautifully conceived
and executed as their Beneteau sailboats. The result is the Swift 42, a passagemaker
that deserves to bear the Beneteau name.
This masterpiece is the collaborative result of Beneteau engineers working with the
renowned design firm of Joubert/Nivelt. As a new breed of trawler, the ST 42 handles
seas typical cruisers may find too challenging, and does it with surprising speed and
comfort. With a range of hundreds of miles and a cruising speed in the 20s, the ST 42 swallows
the miles between those magical moorings and sleepy harbors.

Upper and lower steering stations compliment her seaworthiness while passengers
enjoy a luxurious salon and adjoining galley, panoramic deck salon, large master stateroom
with queen-sized island berth, ensuite head with separate shower and guest cabin.
The yacht-like character is seen in everything from her sizeable fly bridge/entertainment
platform to the spacious, well-designed engine and generator spaces below. Near the upper
steering station, an L-shaped open-air salon can handle six people easily while a wet bar,
and plenty of room for a tender, round out the comforts of the fly bridge. In a class by
itself, the Swift Trawler 42 is the first of a new type of efficient power yachts.
