This 2002 Grady-White Gulfstream 232 walkaround, located in Stratford,CT, is powered by a 225 hp Yamaha four-stroke engine.
The Gulfstream is one of the most popular wide-bodied walkarounds with a cabin. The soft ride is the result a warped V-bottom hull drawn by C. Raymond Hunt & Associates, the design firm that gave the world the Deep-V. With a very sharp entry forward, and plenty of deadrise in the hull under the helm, the 232’s ride is comfortable and dry.
The cockpit takes full advantage of the 9’3” beam and is part of the reason it feels like a much larger walkaround. The working deck has 56 square feet of room to fish or just enjoy a fun cruise with the family - that's comparable to many 26-foot walkarounds.
Fishermen will love the large fish box, bait well, three insulated ice boxes, washdown and 15 rod holders, including 9 on the hard top and frame. When it's time to pull up anchor, the windlass makes short work of that. If the weather turns, there's a full helm enclosure with great visibility to protect you from the elements.
There's plenty of seating on in the cockpit and on the foredeck for a family outing and a full-width swim platform with ladder. Below, the comfortable cabin has a simple galley to port and sofa-style seating to starboard. There's a concealed porta-potti (with deck pumpout) at the base of the companionway, and an inverter to let you charge or run AC devices. For overnighting, there's plenty of room for two with over & under berths (the upper flips-up).
This is a well-maintained 23-footer that feels like a much larger boat.
