The Luhrs 320 was an immensely successful sport fishing design first introduced in 1988, as a no nonsense fishing boat with the necessary amenities and creature comforts to delight the wife and family on a traditional weekend cruise. The Luhrs 320 deep “V” Carolina hull with significant flare, 13 ft beam, and solid glass bottom handles off shore conditions like no other 32 ft boat. The twin 454s get the hull on plane in a hurry, then throttle back to an easy, economical, mid 20 knot cruise.

Though only 32 ft long, the Tournament 320 carries an extraordinary amount of flair, certainly the most you will find in a game fisherman of this length.  The flare is reined in amidships, creating a pretty sheer line which drops to a pleasantly low to the water cockpit. A dedicated single station boat, the Tournament 320 has a jet fighter black lower windscreen.  The proud clean foredeck completes the image of a strong able sport fisherman of Carolina heritage.

On deck full flying bridge has a full helm, helm and companion seats, and a forward bench seat for an additional three. New canvas with zip outs fully encloses the bridge. The cockpit is deceptively big; there is room for a team of four anglers to fish from the flat, self-draining floor, and a marlin door and long under floor fish well. There are some nifty above deck build ins; to starboard, a tackle and bait prep station, and to port, molded insulated ice box for refreshments, bait,   or even dinner.

Below, the stateroom is forward, in the bows, and as large as a New York apartment with its Island queen berth flanked by enough floor space to get lost in. Large side shelves and under bunk storage gives you space to store everything you could need or want. Furnishings include twin cedar lined hanging lockers and vanities, a big mirror, teak retaining lips on the shelving.

The bathroom on the starboard side is equally gigantic, with full headroom, molded vanity and sink, marine head, and a separate stand up shower.

The heart of the Tournament 320 is the spacious saloon level, air conditioned or heat as the season dictates.  Flanked by two opposing settees, and a bright adjustable table, the saloon boasts carpets, a full liner, big windows, and opens to the cockpit through large door. The starboard side lounge is actually a sofa bed; up to three crew can bunk in the saloon.

The galley is down a step and has a new 2011 refrigerator/freezer, combination electric /propane 2 burner cook top, sink and microwave.

Under the saloon floor, the power plant is twin Marine Power carbureted 454s with 1100 hours on the clock. The genset is a lightly used Kohler 4 kw plant.

 

This boat cleans up nicely and is in good condition for her age. Photos are taken in winter storage and do not reflect her summer time glory.
