Founded in 1959, Sea Ray was one of the first boat builders to use fiberglass and other high-tech composite materials in the construction of pleasure boats.In 1986, Sea Ray became part of the Brunswick Corporation. Sea Ray, together with the other divisions, makes Brunswick the world's largest producer of marine engines and boats. The Weekender series falls in the space between the Sea Ray Sport Boat models and the Sport Cruiser line. Intended to give the family accommodations for over night cruising. As you step aboard this Weekender you will find a large cockpit the swim platform extends the stern through a transom door. The entire engine space is accessed through removable deck panels and the easily moveable cockpit seating. The engines are 454 V8's giving this boat plenty of power to get you from here to there. The starboard engine was rebuilt and has new heads and push rods. The helm controls are about as complete as can be made with a new Garmin plotter/radar/fishfinder. Gauges for each engine are large are easily seen from the helm controls. Stepping through the sliding hatch into the cabin, the head is to starboard, dinette to port and V berth forward. The Dinette can be converted into a sleeping berth. There is ample storage throughout.
