It is unusual to have a beam of 8'6" in a 21 bowrider. Powered by a 4.3 v-6 OMC Coba that is powerful yet efficient. The wide beam puts it on plane quick. This boat rides smooth in rough water because it is a bit heavier that boats with a more narrow beam.
