Looking for a 1987 Pearson 31-2, then here in Brooklyn, NY is a nice maintained, nicely appointed Pearson 31-2 fin keel masthead sloop with a Yanmar diesel, in the water, fully rigged, and ready to sail away today?

Pearsons are deservedly well loved as comfortable and able cruising yachts well suited to light airs of New England or the occasional blow. Time tested and proven, these solid boats are solid and seaworthy, a no nonsense traditional double spreader sloop favored by those sailors who desire a sweet sailor as well as a comfortable cruiser.

Last sailed in December 2011, she is in the water at a dock and ready for new adventurers with a new owner. The headsail, on a roller furling gear, is a 130% Dacron genoa in excellent conditions, about 5 years old. Similarly the full battened Dacron main is in excellent shape and of similar vintage, and is set up with the dutchman lazy jack system.

The cockpit with wheel helm and binnacle has full cushions and is protected by the full canvas dodger and bimini. There are matching winch covers and sail cover.  Rigged to sail from the cockpit and with the furling gear and autopilot, this boat is well suited to a single or double handed cruise to the islands.

Below is the traditional Pearson open layout with the galley aft to port and a proper navigation station to starboard. Aft are two quarter berths which are wonderful sleeping accommodations under weigh.

Amidships is the traditional Pearson giant dinette with folding table which is sized for a banquet. The dinette seats make into a berth as does the bench seat to port. Forward is the head with a marine toilet, vanity, sink, and shower. The forepeake boasts traditional vee berths with plenty of locker, cabinet and drawer storage. Throughout is the lovely patina of fine woodwork highlighted by the teak and holly sole.

The Yanmar diesel has been recently serviced and runs exactly the way she should.
