This is an interesting 1976 Silverton 310 Fly Bridge sedan cruiser repowered with twin GM 615 diesels, located in College Point, NY. Typical of these vintage Silvertons, this 33 ft LOA vessel has a lot of living space with an attractive flying bridge with seating for three around the helm station, and a roomy aft cockpit on deck; and a cozy saloon, galley down, double berth forepeak and a full head below decks. The lower helm station provides a protected steering station in addition to the fully canvassed Flying Bridge helm. These Silverton cruisers are prized for their “makes sense” interior design and a rugged long lasting hull that delivers a smooth, clean, and efficient ride in good or snotty conditions. Built to stand up to the marine environment, these older boats provide a terrific value in today’s market.
The present owner has repowered this boat with Twin GM 615 230 hp diesels, which has given this yacht a whole new dimension. She makes 18 knots at 2200 RPM and sips fuel compared to the traditional gasoline powered Silvertons. The diesel running economy and reliability turns this vintage 310 into a serious cruiser for someone on a budget.
This boat is a prime candidate for someone looking for a nice weekender with diesel power or a cottage by the sea. The owner has a new boat and is motivated to sell this Silverton sooner rather than later. All reasonable offers will be considered.
