TEASER was built in 1935 by Benjamin Trask in Beverly, MA. Her original owner was Len Bidwell who cruised her along the New England coast during WWII with the Coast Guard Reserve. She was purchased at Catamet, Mass by her present owners and sailed home to her current berth in Ipswich, Mass in 1985. They are her third owners. TEASER has been registered with the Catboat Association since 1985.Much of TEASER has been replaced or repaired more than once but she retains her original straightforward charm. This vessel has been awarded Best Restoration by owner at the Antique & Classic Boat Festival multiple times. The Festival has been held in Boston, Charlestown, Quincy, and now is now held every year at Brewer Hawthorne Cove Marina in Salem, MA.REPLACED are TEASER'S transom, deadwood in her keel, all frames, assorted planking, shear clamp, shear planks, topside decking, the entire trunk, bulkhead, cabin, total rear deck and rear seats, and nearly all trim. In addition, TEASER is re-canvased and her entire hull is refastened, her gas and water tanks are repaired and steering is rebuilt. Her engine bed is replaced and her Universal Atomic 4 engine is updated from her original and in excellent running condition.This listing has now been on the market a couple months.
